Statement

My work examines the process of waiting. There is a process in waiting in a space.

This process is ambiguous and can produce comfort or a search for escape.

It brings us to the edges of our fears and known truths.

These spaces develop into places of reconciliation, restoration, or purification.

A chair is where time is spent and where waiting occurs.

I use textured surfaces combined with the symbol of the chair

to represent these emotional terrains and landscapes of waiting.
